Schedule and Audition

Step 1: Please complete the online registration form. Contact the office only if you are unable to register online due to technical reasons at bravobrass@pyos.org or 215.545.0502.

Step 2: Everyone who auditions is required to print a Bravo Brass Audition Form, complete it, and bring it to the audition. Click Here to download the form.

Bravo Brass auditions are open to student brass and percussion players ranging in age from 12 through 21 years.

Audition Requirements

  • All players are required to play their choice of a solo or two contrasting etudes. In addition, each player must perform the required excerpts for their instrument. Please download the required excerpts below.

Trumpet
Trombone
Euphonium
Tuba

  • Trumpet players must be comfortable transposing C trumpet parts.
  • Trombonists must read bass and tenor clefs.
  • Percussionists should play timpani, snare drum and xylophone, and be able, if requested, to play cymbals and bass drum.

The applicant and/or parent/guardian agree that all decisions concerning placement and participation in the Bravo Brass program are at the sole discretion of the artistic staff, and that their decisions are final.

Annual tuition for the 2017-2018 season is $1,650.00. A non-refundable $485.00 deposit is due at the time an accepted student registers for the Bravo Brass program. Tuition balance is due by the first rehearsal of the concert season.
